What Gratia means
The name came first. A Latin word for thanks — and a promise about how a home might feel.
Gratia is Latin for grace: thanks given without a ledger. Favor, gratitude, the uncounted gift. We took it as a name because it is a way of moving through a house — not as a brand story, but as a practice.
The domain sat unused for years. There was a season of candles, a season of thinking about a home line, a cookbook that lived as a wish at the kitchen counter. None of it needed to become a stall at a market. What it needed was a place to begin.
Live Gratia is that place. Not a shop, not yet. A journal of the table, the light, and the rooms we come home to. A house in formation, named for the feeling we want it to hold.
If you cook for someone, light a room at dusk, or fold a sheet with more care than it strictly requires — you already know the word. This is only a reminder to live it.
